Our Mission
Statement - Carolina Paws is an affiliate of Guide Dog Users Inc.
(www.gdui.org). We are a group of guide dog users and interested
friends united together to promote the responsible use of guide dogs
for independent travel throughout North Carolina. We offer support to
guide dog teams experiencing problems which may arise from the use and
acceptance of guide dogs in the public domain.
Our Objective - Carolina Paws provides support and information for blind persons interested in obtaining a guide dog, considering the retirement of a guide dog, or to empathize when a beloved guide dog has died. We strive to increase the public's awareness and acceptance of the use of guide dogs in public facilities.
Memberhip - Carolina Paws membership is open to anyone 16 years of age or older who resides in North Carolina and is interested in the mission statement and purpose of the organization. We welcome any inquiries, questions and new members
